Our Story

Our curriculum is followed by common core state standards for English language arts and our teaching materials are recommended by most California school districts.

Blossom Hill Language Arts was founded by Sehwa An, a native of Seoul, South Korea who came to the United States in 2006 to pursue her college education. Sehwa believes that speaking and writing English fluently are crucial to a child's self-esteem, self-confidence, and social skills, especially for those who speak English as a second language.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Sehwa homeschooled her two daughters, one in second grade and one in preschool, with the help of teachers assigned by the local elementary school. This experience inspired her to help other children struggling to learn English by reaching out to skilled teachers to provide additional support.

At Blossom Hill Language Arts, we ensure that all our teachers have passed background checks and create a positive learning environment for our students. We believe in using positive reinforcement to help our students learn more effectively.
